Boriken Neighborhood Health Center provides primary and specialty care for children, adolescents, and young adults. Our providers treat children for illnesses, infections, and injuries. Routine check-ups allow children to maintain excellent health.

Our health providers test children's hearing, vision, height and weight. Blood tests check for lead levels, diseases like tuberculosis, anemia, and cholesterol problems.

Boriken is a patient-centered medical home meaning if your child needs to see a specialist, our doctors and nurses work closely with specialists to ensure coordinated care to properly manage your child’s health. Please follow-up with your pediatrician after any emergency room or urgent care visit to ensure the best care for your child.

Our pediatricians and staff provide:

  • Newborn care

  • Feeding concerns that may require specialized formula or supplements

  • Developmental and behavioral screening for early detection and referral for speech, motor, and behavioral delays

  • Routine wellness visits and evaluation of your child’s medical, developmental and social health

  • Urgent sick visits and treatment of acute illness

  • Management of chronic health problems such as asthma, allergies and diabetes

  • Immunizations, hearing and vision screenings

  • School, sports, and camp physicals

  • Sports-related conditions that include sprains and strains

  • Referrals to specialists when needed
