FAMILY MEDICINE PHYSICIAN, NP OR PA

Responsibilities: Provides comprehensive case managed primary care services in an ambulatory care setting. Contributes to quality assurance, staff development, and other programmatic and clinical functions.
 

Qualifications: Current New York State Nurse Practitioner. Board Certified. DEA Certification. CPR Certification. Infection Control Certification. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. At least two to three years clinical experience preferred. Bilingual Spanish preferred. Must be able to work Saturday, 8am-4pm.

HIV SPECIALIST 

Responsibilities: Provides comprehensive case managed primary care services in an ambulatory care setting. Contributes to quality assurance, staff development, and other programmatic and clinical functions.

 

Qualifications: Graduate of approved medical school. Completion of approved residency. New York State License. DEA Registration. Board Certified or Board Eligible preferred in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. HIV Specialist certification required. Hepatitis C experienced a plus. Bilingual Spanish preferred. 3 years of thorough and up-to-date knowledge of principles and practices of medicine. Demonstrated ability to plan and conduct comprehensive treatment plans. Experience in public health preferred.

 

ORAL SURGEON

Responsibilities: Provides dental services in an ambulatory care setting. Protects patients' oral health by diagnosing and treating diseases, injuries, and abnormalities of teeth and gums; undertaking preventive procedures; conducting surgery; performing other specialized techniques.

 

Qualifications: D.D.S. or D.M.D. from an accredited dental school. License to Practice dentistry in New York State. Bilingual Spanish preferred. DEA Registration. Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of principles and practices of Oral Surgery. Training  and experienced in Oral Surgery. Demonstrated ability to plan and conduct comprehensive treatment plans. Experience in public health preferred. 

 

PSYCHIATRIST

Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive psychiatric services to patients, in collaboration with the medical and behavioral health team. Psychiatrists evaluate, diagnose, provide consultation, and treat children, adolescents and/or adults with mental, behavioral, addictive or emotional disorders, including but not limited to psychoses, depression, anxiety disorders, substance abuse disorders, developmental disabilities, sexual dysfunctions, adjustment disorders, attention deficient disorders/disruptive behavior disorders, pervasive developmental disorders (autism spectrum disorders), factitious disorders, somatoform disorders, and personality disorders. Privileges include providing pharmacotherapy, psychotherapy, family therapy, behavior modification, as well as the ordering of diagnostic tests, laboratory tests, and prescribing medications. Evaluation and treatment of children and adolescents under the age of 18 may include the following patient-related activities with their parents or legally designated caregivers: meetings to obtain information necessary for the diagnosis of their child, interpretation of diagnostics and treatment findings, parent counseling, and family therapy. Evaluation and treatment of adults may include the following patient-related activities: interviewing the patient, family, and other persons, observing behaviors; reviewing medical history and related documents; selecting, administering, and interpreting psychological tests; ordering laboratory tests and evaluating results. Treat patients by utilizing psychotherapeutic methods and medications; discussing progress toward goals with patients; providing instructions. Monitor effect of medications.

 

Qualifications: Graduate of approved medical school. Completion of approved psychiatric residency 
Board-certified or board-eligible. New York State License. DEA Registration. Infection Control Certificate. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate. Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred.

 

PODIATRIST

Responsibilities: Under the general direction of the Boriken Neighborhood Health Center provide podiatry treatment to the patients of the Boriken Neighborhood Health Center. 

 

Qualifications: Graduate of a recognized school of podiatry. NYS License to practice podiatry. Board Certified or Board Eligible. Bilingual Spanish preferred. At least one year experience in the practice of podiatry. Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of methods, materials, equipment and practices of podiatry. Demonstrated ability to apply methods, materials and equipment in podiatry practice.
