Nutrición Suplementaria para Mujeres, Bebés y Niños (WIC) es un programa de educación nutricional que proporciona alimentos complementarios para promover la salud de las mujeres embarazadas, mujeres lactantes cuyos bebés tienen menos de un año de edad, mujeres que no amamantan después del parto (hasta 6 meses después del parto). los bebés y los niños menores de cinco años pueden ser elegibles para WIC si cumplen con los requisitos de WIC y tienen un factor de riesgo para la salud.
The East Harlem Council for Human Services, Inc.’s Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program is located on the third floor of the Boriken Neighborhood Health Center and provides nutritional services to 1,300 enrollees each year. The WIC Program has served the families of East Harlem and nearby communities since 1978.​

Our WIC Services Include:

Nutrition services and counseling focused on your needs and concerns
Health Bucks, which can be used to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at all NYC farmers markets!
Breastfeeding promotion and support
Individualized food packages
Healthy lifestyle promotion
Referrals to other health and social services​

WIC Hours of Operation:
Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
1st and 3rd Wednesday of the Month: Open Until 6pm
