Since 1965, the East Harlem Council for Human Services, Inc. has provided the highest quality of fully bilingual health and human services to the East Harlem community. As a Patient-Centered Medical Home, Boriken follows the best practices to provide continuous and coordinated care to patients to improve health outcomes and maintain each patient's health and well- being.
Boriken's service providers are uniquely qualified to provide services to the residents of East Harlem and other under-served communities. Our staff members are all extremely aware of the factors that impact the health of East Harlem residents.
The knowledge of El Barrio and its residents allows providers to develop comprehensive service and treatment plans to address each of the patient's needs and build on existing strengths. The majority of our staff is bilingual and we offer translation services.
